The flavour of Tiramisu is chosen for its comfort connotations, the continued love of everything Italian, and its versatility for reinvention. Its name, tirami sù, translates to “pick me up” in Italian and falls somewhere between a pudding and a trifle.
The killer combo of coffee and liqueur-soaked savoiardi biscuits, cocoa powder, and layers of whipped cream and mascarpone, also known as zabaglione, has enjoyed a resurgence lately; with the winning flavour combination being transferred to bakery, beverages, and hybrid desserts. Chefs and home cooks worldwide are using their skills to create modern interpretations, such as profiteroles, croissants, ice cream, cheesecakes, coffees, and cocktails.
Our tiramisu flavour boasts a beautifully balanced taste profile of rich coffee, bitter cocoa, and sweet, creamy mascarpone. The contrast creates a harmonious profile that is reminiscent of the much-loved dessert and suitable for various applications.
